Why is rubyrough?

Well, there are lots of reasons. For example: it’s a great escape from our day jobs (as much as we love them), together we can make different music than we’d ever make alone, it’s a great way to burn calories, but most of all, because it’s so much fun.

Stephanie is a singer-songwriter who also works as a performing musician for other bands. Horst is a graphic and sound designer. Even though both of them do what they love for work it’s fun to do something completely independent and new. And who knows — maybe they’ll be able to live the dream someday…

Luckily they’ve been “discovered” even before their music has been released. It’s been included in the FOX Network (USA) show “Lie to Me”, The british surf film “21 Days Later – Mentawais”, the Canadian cinema film “Seven Deadly Sins”, The German festival film “EQ”, an Asian coffee commercial for Nam Yang Dairy, and they’ve also been featured alongside Amy Winehouse and Duffy on compilations in Europe and Asia.
